The original hole-in-the-wall sandwich shop was where Mortadeli’s humble beginnings were established, with a simple made to order menu that quickly became beloved by locals for its freshly baked bread and generous fillings.
Exponential increase in demand for sandwiches has moved the original little sandwich shop across the piazza into the former delicatessen and Pasta Bar. The new caffetteria is styled as a classic Italian bar, taking you from espresso and pastries in the morning, to a panino full of fresh, local produce and ingredients for lunch, and finally an aperitivo and cicchetti in the evening.
Pouring our own special blend of Everyday Coffee beans, piped-to-order Sicilian style ricotta/pistachio cannolis, traditional sweet treats and freshly-baked Maltese pastizzis. Our made to order sandwiches use locally baked ciabatta rolls and pastadura, while our offering of soups, salads and house-made pasta follow the seasons and our moods. Keep an eye and ear out for special events, pop up pasta nights and Fish Fridays!
